Job Title: Admin and Accounts Officer

Contract Type:
Project-Based (Up to December 31, 2024, extendable)
Project:
Prevention and Elimination of Hazardous Forms of Child Labour in Coastal Areas of Bangladesh, with support from Education and Development Foundation-Educo.
Job Purpose:
The Admin and Accounts Officer will manage administrative and accounting tasks for a donor-funded project aimed at preventing and eliminating hazardous child labor in coastal areas. The role requires independent handling of accounts, finance management, reporting, audit, documentation, and ensuring compliance with government and donor regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Finance and Accounts Management:
- Manage all accounting functions including maintaining books of accounts, bank dealings, and cash flow.
- Prepare financial reports, monitor audits, and ensure the financial health of the project.
- Independently handle financial transactions and ensure accurate documentation.
Administrative Functions:
- Oversee office management tasks, procurement, and inventory management.
- Coordinate with program staff, donors, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and project execution.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with government regulations, including VAT, tax policies, and NGO Affairs Bureau (NGOAB) dealings.
- Maintain all official records, reports, and documentation required by donors and government bodies.
Reporting:
- Prepare timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate audits and financial monitoring.
Project Coordination:
- Work closely with the Program Manager and ensure that financial and administrative support aligns with project goals.
- Provide regular updates to management and donors about the financial progress of the project.
Educational Requirements:
- Master of Commerce (MCom) or a related field.
Experience Requirements:
- At least 3 years of practical experience in a similar role.
- Proven experience in financial management, report preparation, auditing, documentation, and inventory control.
- Knowledge of government VAT and tax policies, NGOAB requirements, and other compliance regulations.
Additional Requirements:
- Experience with donor-funded projects is preferred.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to handle financial management and reporting independently.
- Strong understanding of NGO regulatory frameworks and compliance issues.
Workplace:
Office-based, located in Cox's Bazar Upazila, Cox's Bazar.

Up to December 31, 2024, extendable based on project needs and funding.
