This is a Nationally Recruited Staff (NRS) position with annual salary ranging between BDT 1,347,224 – BDT 1,516,312 per annum. WorldFish NRS shall receive comprehensive benefits including (but not limited to) insurance coverage for staff and eligible dependents, and pension / provident fund contribution.
Eligibility, Location and Duration
This position will be based at WorldFish’s Country Office in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Interviews are expected to be held in May 2020 and only shortlisted candidates will be notified and expected to attend the interview. The successful candidate should be available to commence as soon as possible for an initial two (2) years and eight (8) months fixed term contract, with the possibility of contract renewal depending on performance and funding availability.

Key Responsibilities
- Establish Geographic Information System (GIS) to monitor program progress and changes considering geographical aspects, that helps management in making decisions and planning based on geospatial analysis and tools.
- Develop resource map which relates inclusive market systems approach based aquaculture productivity, value chains, and other market players.
- Generate data visualization and analysis using GIS tools to support reporting requirements and real-time monitoring of implementation.
- Maintain linkage with government and other relevant agencies for geospatial data exchanging and merging.
- Responsible to customize GIS based software features into mobile-web application and their integration with management information system (MIS).
- Oversee data flow, management of attribute data, assist spatial analysis, collect GPS coordinates and produce GIS outputs.
- Build capacity of project monitoring staff including implementing partners’ staff and technical people regarding GIS data collection process, tools and data quality.
- Work in compliance with USAID GIS standards and quality policies.
- Other complementary and necessary MEL activities as assigned by the MEL manager.
- Implement and strengthen the GIS within the project and WorldFish Bangladesh.
- Work with WorldFish Geospatial expert for GIS data curation and make data/ info more accessible for researchers, technical experts and decision makers in WorldFish.
