Manager - Environment, Health & Safety (EHS)
Job Description / Responsibility
- To prepare & implement EHS program management plan (e.g. EHS TIPs, PSIP, L1 schedule etc.) at site.
- Ensure relevant regulatory communication and compliance.
- Understand the significant Occupational Safety &
Health and Environmental issues / concern / risks are being faced by
the operation and how those need to be managed. Conduct Safety Health
& Environmental risk assessment (General / activity-wise /
specific) and develop the mitigation plan.
- Compile / update EHS Departmental SOPs per global EHS standard and conduct training.
- Maintain & display EHS related KPIs and ensure target dates of blue chip projects.
- Compile EHS TNA, prepare training curricula and f2f Annual Training Plan.
- Facilitate as trainer on EHS programs and work as a Subject Matter Expert.
- Conduct L1 and L2 audit as required.
- Arrangement of workplace EHS signage imminent to hazard
and display EHS awareness posters & EHS policies at the prominent
places of the site.
- Management of EHS CAPA and Change Control.
- Carry-out investigation on Near Miss, incident, & other EHS adverse event and implementation of CAPA.
- Manage non-routine hazardous activities through PTW
System, Ensure Risk Assessment & Method Statement (RAMS) for
contractor’s work. Inspect contractors’ activities at the Site,
eliminate gaps through process confirmation and ensure compliance for
high risk activities. (
- Ensure compliance for on-Site ETP through continuous monitoring and improvements.
- Maintain regulatory parameters of ETP test parameters
- Learn and implement GSK Production System (GPS)
- Fire risk management, Training of use of fire
extinguishers/AFD system/ Hydrant system, Evacuation drill practice and
implementation of Emergency Response Plan (ERP).
- Compile / Review Process safety risk assessment / PHIRA,
Compile / Update Basis of Safety (BoS) document, document ALARP and
arrange f2f training on Process Safety.
- Review the Zero Access assessment and LOTO exceptions
with the site Engineering and check effectiveness of controls on
machinery safety.
- Attend in Company duty on regular basis, also, to attend office during week-end as required.
- Understanding on the local EHS regulatory requirements.
- Review annual EHS OpEx and CapEx plans and implement.
Job Nature : Full-time
Educational Requirements: Post Graduate / Degree in Engineering in Mechanical or Chemical or Electrical with EHS experience.
Experience Requirements: 6 to 8 year(s)
Desire Requirements
- Training in ISO, OHSAS or relevant discipline.
- Any course in Occupational Safety & Health (e.g. NEBOSH International General Certificate / Diploma).
- Understanding on Permit to Work, Machine guarding, electrical, Contractor and fire safety.
- Good communication skill in English
- Good presentation skill
- Desired: Candidates must have the enthusiasm to work under pressure with roaster basis shifting duty in 24 hrs operations.
